Observation and Order through Social Portraiture

 

Mill Road was named in the top ten high streets in Britain, according to the Telegraph.

I spent the last few months documenting the high street, focusing on the people and buildings that have helped to create it.

I have used Mill Road as a canvas on which to observe the goings-on of a night-life built on independant and international traders.
Specifically I find pleasure in geometry. A way of structuring the world as I want to see it and that makes sense to me.

To me this most basic of sensual pleasure is a recognition of order.

I am interested in creating "order out of chaos"
